Hi Lydia and Lorna Just wanting to say thank you so much for making our wedding the best day of our lives and making it run so smoothly for us. From the first time we seen the Westgrove back in 2024, Aaron and I fell in love with it instantly. The warm welcome from the staff had a major factor in us then going to book our wedding. That same warm welcome always met us anytime we visited no matter who we crossed paths with they always had a friendly manner. Lydia and Lorna ye made the wedding planning process so stress free and enjoyable with always being there to answer any questions or concerns. Then the day of the wedding ye were amazing, everything ran so smoothly and efficiently. All our guests were talking about how amazing the hotel was before we even got into the reception room and continued to talk so highly about the entire day. A lot of the comments we got were saying how friendly and attentive the staff were that they were always making sure everything was ok during the dinner, they were all praising how amazing the food tasted. We even got comments on how it has been one of the best weddings they have been to and how they loved how there wasn't much waiting around. We got married in The Westgrove Hotel at the end of August and it could not have been a better day. We booked our date back in February 2023 with Lorna and from our first meeting, it was like talking to someone we knew for years. Throughout the planning stages, both Lorna and Lydia were always there to help with all our, sometimes mad, ideas. There was never a question that wasn't answered straight away which, for a type A organiser, was amazing and so helpful. On the day itself, between Lorna, Lydia, Bonnie the GM, and the entire staff at the hotel, everyone was so welcoming and nothing was too much. Everyone, from ourselves to our guests, had the best day/night. I would recommend The Westgrove Hotel for a wedding 10 out of 10 times. From the moment we arrived at the Westgrove Hotel on Friday to check in, right through our wedding day on Saturday, the celebrations on day two, and finally checking out on Monday — everything was beyond perfect. We truly couldn’t fault a single thing. Our guests have not stopped complimenting the incredible staff, the stunning hotel, the delicious food — absolutely everything was flawless. The entire team went above and beyond to make our special day feel magical. To the wedding coordinators — Lorna and Lydia — we cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done for us over the past 2.5 years since booking our wedding. As soon as we met Lorna, we instantly knew this was the place we wanted to say “I do.” She is warm, genuine, and such a lovely person. Then Lydia joined the wedding team, and honestly, she’s just as amazing — bubbly, kind, and so genuine. No matter how big or small our questions were, they always had time for us and answered everything with a smile. The week leading up to the wedding was filled with last-minute changes and potential stress, but for Lorna and Lydia, it was like a walk in the park. Their calm, professional, and positive approach made all the difference. We also want to give a special mention to James — what a star! From hosting our dinner and drinks with family and the bridal party the night before, to looking after us at our day two event, nothing was ever too big or too small. He went above and beyond and did an amazing job at every turn. And also our bar man, Tom - who was pouring drinks all night long and for the whole second day! Loads of compliments from our guests about James & Tom 🤍 A huge thank you as well to Bonnie, the manager, who is genuinely the nicest manager we’ve ever come across anywhere. She regularly came to check on us — whether to see if we needed anything or simply to make sure we were happy. Her warmth and attention meant so much to us during our stay.
