My name is Marcela and I’m a live wedding painter based in Dublin.
What’s a Live Wedding Painting?
A live wedding painting is a unique, one-of-a-kind experience where I will attend your wedding and paint a moment from your special day while your guests get to watch it come together. Whether it’s your first kiss, your first dance or a candid giggle with your new husband or wife, I will beautifully capture this moment in a painting throughout the day. So while it’s entertainment for your guests throughout your day, you get to keep a beautiful painting at the end of it all. (It also makes a great gift from family members or friends)
How does it work?
A few weeks before the wedding we will hop on a video call to discuss the vision of your painting or if you would like me to take creative control. During this call we will talk about the scene you would like painted, poses and any other details e.g. if you would like a pet in the painting (who might just steal the show).
On the wedding day I will arrive an hour or 2 before your guests so that the painting is underway when everyone arrives. During the scene we chose on the call, I will grab some photos and videos to use as reference throughout the day. I will try to take as little time out of your day as possible so I will try to jump in with the photographer for this step.
I will then spend the day and evening painting and chatting to guests about her process as they please. This is a big part of the fun!
At the end of the night the painting will be mostly complete, that’s when I will come find you to show you your painting before I leave (photographers & videographers can capture this moment too if they’re still around)
I will then take the painting back to the studio for touch ups, finer details, varnishing and framing before sending it to you to hang in your forever home.
