Hi, I’m Kamila — a Brazilian-Irish celebrant based in Cork!
Ireland has been home for over a decade and became the place where I truly belong. That feeling of belonging sits at the heart of everything I do, and I understand how meaningful it is to feel truly seen and celebrated, especially when different cultures, languages, traditions, and identities come together. If your story moves between languages, I also offer ceremonies in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, so everyone present can feel included in the moment.
Before becoming a celebrant, I worked as a solicitor, where I learned to listen deeply and communicate with care. Later, I moved into content design, where structure, flow, and storytelling became part of how I think and create. Today, those worlds come together in my ceremonies: thoughtful listening, meaningful writing, attention to detail, and a deep respect for people’s stories.
There is always calm in how I work, a steady presence from the first chat to the moment we stand together on your day. And we’ll work together so that your ceremony can be shaped entirely around who you are as a couple. We can include readings, personal vows, and symbolic rituals like Handfasting, Unity Candles, or a Sand Ceremony, alongside the people (and pets!) who matter most to you. The goal is always to create something warm, relaxed, and truly personal.
If I had to describe my ceremonies, I’d say they’re soft around the edges. Honest. Human. Full of real stories, told with joy, care, and intention.
My wife and I spent a lot of time looking for celebrants that could match the vision we had for our ceremony. My wifes family and friends are spanish and mine were from Ireland (English Speaking) so we wanted our ceremony to be understood by both sides. During our initial introductory call, we explained what we were looking for and Kamila asked us probing questions and gave us a rough idea of what she could provide. Before the meeting had ended, both my wife and I knew that this was exactly what we were looking for. Kamila provided a fusion of both languages and made sure that everyone understood what was happening at all times, speaking sometimes in spanish and other times in english. She did this in a way that was a smooth transition between both and it flowed beutifully. Long before the wedding, Kamila sent us a in-depth questionaire that we filled separately, about who we were, our relationship and memories with eachother but aslo about or life before we met. She used this to build an extremely personal ceremony that touched on all the important parts of our relationship but also the small every-day things that might not seem important but make our bond what it is. All of our guests told us how amazing the ceremony was and that they never saw one done this way before. Some even thought that Kamila was a family member or long-time friend because of how much detail she brought into the ceremony. Kamila did an incredible job and the ceremony was more beautiful and perfect than we could have ever imagined! We will always remember our wedding but the memories of our ceremony will be the ones we will treasure the most. I can't put into words how highly we reccomend her, she put so much work into making our ceremony perfect and carefully curated each and every moment and the feedback from all of our guests are an added testament to this.
